To Bean or Not To Bean - A Jester's Dilemma

As the Royal Jester, you have failed to entertain the Almighty King Beans one time too many. Now instead of providing the entertainment, He has decided that you shall become it, or die trying!
Fight off the King as he sits on his throne, pelting you with beans, and summoning the Royal BeanKnights to attack you, as the floor below you crumbles away, threatening to drop you into the deadly boiling baked bean below.
During the fight, you will occasionally get the chance to tell King Beans a joke. Telling a good joke(terrible pun) will fill your Hilarity Gauge, which when full allows you to unleash the mighty Laz0r Bean upon your foes.
But beware! For you are not the only one with access to this terrifying technique...
Struggle to survive and have King Beans blow his top with laughter! It's time to become the funniest can of beans in all the land.
